Week 6

Dear Year 4 families,

Here we are in week 6! We have really enjoyed seeing your learning, gardening, science experiments, baking and arty creations – they really do remind us that ‘We are Learning together in God’s Love’.  Please do carry on sending them in on homelearning@st-edmunds.suffolk.sch.uk.

We are incredibly proud of everything you are doing and we miss you all terribly.

Please remember to visit the BBC Bitesize website for lessons and activities and you can access this on the red button on the TV too. Do not forget to go on TTRS, Mathletics and Accelerated Reader Quizzes.  Mr Francis, Mrs Nutt and Mrs Whyatt are monitoring these weekly and can see who has been moving their learning forward.  If you are having any issues with using any of these, or indeed finding it difficult to motivate the children, please do get in touch and we will support you as much as we can.  It is amazing what a few words with a teacher can do for motivation!

We have set a battle on TTRS this week between 4F and 4NW to see how well those tables have been practised – don’t forget we can go on to see who has helped their class get the most points!

This week we have focussed on being positive as the Government announces another 3 weeks in lock down.  The ‘Complements Tree’ is a lovely way for everyone in the family to join in and let each other know how much we are all valued.  The Coping Skills Wheel is just a few tips and strategies to use when we are not finding things easy, again useful for the whole family.

Finally, do look after each other and stay safe.

God bless

The Year 4 Team

Mr Francis, Mrs Whyatt, Mrs Nutt, Mrs Edgar, Mr Hughes and Miss Hall.
